About Bleeding Hemorrhoids Treatment

Hi, my name is Dan and I used to suffer really badly with hemorrhoids…

… internal, external, bleeding, ulcerated, you name it I suffered with it, I suppose I would be classed as a chronic sufferer…or at least I used to be!

My story began in my early twenties, I was relatively fit, having not long left the military, and I wasn’t overweight so It all came as a total surprise to me when I was diagnosed with hemorrhoids.

I was at work one Saturday when suddenly I felt a little uncomfortable down below and felt I needed to go to the toilet. I went through the motions as I would do normally but suddenly I winced in pain, however, it was when I went to wipe that I really began to panic. The paper was drenched in bright red blood. It never crossed my mind until I was in the Doctors waiting room but the thought of explaining my problem to a Doctor, and the possibility of being given an internal examination almost made me get up and walk straight out of there. Thankfully I didn’t! However,  I did have an internal examination which wasn’t at all pleasant but it did provide the Doctor with the evidence he needed to give me a 100% accurate diagnosis of an internal ulcerated hemorrhoid.

I had hemorrhoids! No problem. I’ll just buy the medication the Doctor suggests and they’ll be gone in a few days. That is exactly what happened but what I didn’t expect to happen was for these hemorrhoids to keep coming back again, in some cases not nearly as severe and in other cases more severe than my original attack. I continued to see my Doctor about my problem and he always prescribed me stronger treatments all of which failed to keep my hemorrhoids in check.

Finally, my Doctor suggested one more type of medication and if that one failed then we would have to consider a surgical procedure to relieve me of my chronic condition.

As I mentioned, I’m an ex-soldier and am not in the slightest bit squeamish but I have never liked the idea of having surgery performed on me, whether under general or local anesthetic, so I decided to do a little research to see if there were any alternative therapies and treatments I could try.
