Are You A Hemorrhoid High Risk?

There are no definite guidelines to say who is more likely to suffer from bleeding hemorrhoids than any other, hemorrhoids in general though, can affect absolutely anyone from babies to pensioners and from the fit and health conscious amongst us, to the downright lazy. However, there are specific groups that do suffer from hemorrhoids more predominantly than others, and these are listed below.

First though, here’s a little known fact:

And here is the checklist of potential hemorrhoid sufferers consisting of people who…

  • are overweight
  • do not eat enough fiber

  • sit for long periods

  • are between the ages of 45 and 65
  • are pregnant (women…obviously!)
  • are suffering with bad circulation
  • have a gastrointestinal complaint
  • are suffering with stress

Right I’m going to stop right there as this list could go on for some considerable amount of time but I expect you will already have figured out just why so many people actually suffer from hemorrhoids.

The big problem is that there has been no solid research carried out which confirms one single cause of hemorrhoids hence why it is so difficult to pinpoint one specific cause for each and every individual.

However, of those listed above, the first three contribute to the majority of cases as they all result in constipation which, when combined with excessive straining, often result in hemorrhoids often bleeding hemorrhoids, which can be quite distressing.
